We have recently updated the TSL logic to show a more realistic backtest result and account for various edge cases. This was done to ensure, that users who keep a very small SL and TSL do not see a more positive result in a backtest, which is not practically achievable. To learn more about the change and how TSL works in a backtest, please refer to the article. This does not affect live trading.

Note: The backtest results would change only if a strategy is using TSL. If you are only using TP and SL, the results will not change.

Note: Users should keep a realistic SL and a TSL value which help them in managing their risk and at the same time does not keep getting triggered per candle. If SL is getting triggered quite often, it means this is too small an SL. Ideally, the SL should be near to or more than the range of the candle (H-L) or the Average True Range of the instrument. We would be sharing more information on this via another article and If you want to understand more about this, you can refer to this link.
